So I recently joined Facebook after several persuasions by Jaime Lee [Thanks by the way]. I’ve been fascinated for days about how many people I’ve met through out my life. I came across a friend Dave Evans from junior high school. It turns out he is an incredible painter.

Weekend adventure, I mean torture…Well worth it!

After years and years of looking at ugly drop-ceiling at the Catskills getaway, I finally decided to gather a small crew together to demolish that doctors office look and resurrect the traditional country feeling. The drop ceiling removed over 6 inches in height (not before removing a ton of layers of old gesso mixed with strips of wood, older ceilings above). The end result you ask: I wound up liking the old beams so much that by leaving them exposed we also gained 10 inches more for a total of 16 inches gained. We also sheet-rocked the walls covering up the fake wood paneling, cutting around the beams, giving it the perfect touch. You’re all invited when we are done!!!!
